Hey All The above mentioned are coming over here with their respective bands to play a local bluegrass festival and I was wondering if any of you had heard them play and what you make of them. I know Michael Cleveland is a wonderful fiddler and played on These Days (The acoustic record) with Vince Gill does anyone know anymore about them? Take Care Steph

eveibm, If you like bluegrass you'll love both bands. I've seen M. Cleveland a couple times and Danny Paisley many, many times. Go and enjoy.

Hey Houseghost sorry it took me so long to get back to you I headed up the coast here for a few days to enjoy some traditional music and the roar of the sea it was beautiful, but I digress, the show over here with the above mentioned artists is not until mid Sept but I will defiantly post and let me know what I think of them. Many Thanks Again and Take Care Steph

Hey All I finally got to see these two great bands on Saturday night and what a night it was. Firstly Mike Cleveland and The Flamekeepers great band very tight work and Mike stole the show everytime his raised that bow he is phenomenal, he and his mandolin player Jesse Brock played Jerusalem Ridge as an instrumental duet that was stunning and it was also good to hear Todd Rakestraw on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals as he was one of the founding members of Union Station.
Danny Paisley and Southern Grass This band blew me away I didn't really know what to expect going into it and I came away from it feeling like I was floating. Danny is a wonderful wonderful singer and his guitar picking is not too shabby either, the harmonies with his young Mandolin player soared and the Banjo and Fiddler the Lundy Brothers where wonderful as well. Danny's brother plays Bass and what a Bass player he is the tempo he kept, all throughout the show was amazing and he drove them on brilliantly, every song was high tempo except two which where Mid to High tempo. They came back for an encore and played a great version of Will The Circle Be Unbroken and everyone joined in singing and then they signed off with one of those instrumental tunes that just tore up the room. So much so that I ordered their new release from Rounder the minute I got home. Great show and I am looking forward to whoever comes over next year. Take Care All Steph
