...Is it wrong to hope that Alison is the one victim who survives to kill the ax murderer in the end? ;D I'd be happier if she escapes, sets up a trap, catches the bad guy and makes sure he's send to jail .

I think she should die a death true to the horror/slasher genre.

I think considering the voting, as in all genres got 1 vote and romantic comedy 6, I find it somewhat puzzling you would as a fan choose to have such an elaborate and frankly, disgusting fantasy in the horror genre? But maybe I am just being "uptight" about this! ;D

Wow...reading that makes me really glad that Alison is a singer and not an actress.
Tal, maybe we're both uptight, but I'm with you on this. That was way over the top and more than a little disturbing.

Glad to hear I am not the only one Eyesoflove, in fact I found it so disturbing I didn't even really read the whole thing. The general gist was already too much for my taste! But I do think if she was an actress you wouldn't see her in movies like that anyway! I am sure just like in her music she would go for more substantial stuff in acting too!

Piecesofyou, sounds like you've thought about this way too much. Don't be horrible!!! I think a lot of us have fantasies about Alison, but they all involve playing music with her and sharing her beautiful friendship and humor, not a grisly death scene!!!! I for one, hope this thread gets dropped, quick!!! (I have to ask though, the old boyfriend, are you picturing Mark R.?? Or John W.?)
And as for what movie I would like to see Alison in, I've got one no one has thought of yet: I would like to see a cartoon version of her (her own voice and music dubbed in!!) in the next Simpsons movie!! In the plot, she would be the only adult to listen to and befriend Lisa in Lisa's next harebrained scheme to save Springfield from the evil Mr. Burns. Perhaps his cold scheming heart could be melted into compassion by some sweet song penned jointly by Lisa and Alison, and at the end as the credits roll, Lisa will join Alison and Dan and Ron and Jerry and Barry onstage, just like Sierra Hull did (in fact, put a mandolin in Lisa's hands, or maybe her trademark saxophone instead). I await suggestions from others as to which AKUS song (or some other!!) that should be played by LSAK on stage during that closing scene!!!!

I knew that I'd get mixed reviews when I wrote it. I think that slasher movies like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer are sexy as well as violent, but like it or not that's the appeal of the genre. As for the boyfriend, I didn't actually intend him to be one of Alison's real ex-lovers. I just thought of him as an actor.

So just to be absolutely clear on your thinking here....you consider that little scenario you posted here sexy? btw in the interest of further clarification, so far there are no "mixed" reviews on it! The reviews are an all around thumbs down at this point!

OK, I am studiously ignoring the above (as I think we all should!!!!) - Did anybody like my Simpsons idea? Or have any suggestions for the last song?

Sorry, did someone say "sexy"? Wow. Turbo, you can scold me if you would like, but not actually a fan of the Simpsons. My comedy preference is Chelsea Lately or Carol Burnett. So no suggestions on this end. However, I do wonder what Alison would look like as a cartoon. Any artists around?

Art, I think your Simpsons idea is a great one as I'm a longtime fan of the Simpsons. However, I've decided to just do my part in making this thread go away because I think the poster had creepy intentions from the start.
I've never appreciated thriller movies as being "sexy" and disagree that gory murder scenes were ever created to be sexy. They were created to horrify, thus calling the genre "horror." I'm pretty sure that most reasonable people wouldn't want to see their favorite singer in a simulated murder scene, especially one so graphic and disturbing as the one described above. I may *MAY* be more understanding if we were talking about an actress, here, but the fact that Alison is a singer and musician whose only appearance on the big screen has been in voice just makes me wonder why someone would place her in such a gruesome movie scene. I can understand wanting to see her in a musical, romantic comedy, etc, but that murder scene is not one that emerges from the mind of a rational person. It was just too detailed and graphic to have been harmless creativity.
akusgal, I like to draw portraits, but I'm not a cartoonist, so anything I would draw would just be trying to make it look like the real thing.

Some horror movies are supposed to be sexy; you can't possibly deny that movies like Scream and I know What You Did Last Summer aren't suppose to charge up the male libido, overwise why would they star actresses like Sarah Michelle Gellar (who gets killed savagely in both Scream 2 and IKWYDLS), and Jennifer Love Hewitt, Michelle Williams, Tara Reid, and older classics like Halloween, a movie which earned Jaime Lee Curtis her name. The truth of the matter is that some guys think it's sexy seeing women scared and then murdered. It's not right or wrong (in a fictional sense), it's simply down to taste.

Because the fact remains that unattractive people don't get cast in movie roles of any genre. Even "Ugly Betty" is actually a pretty woman. The fact that you can't understand that, yes, it IS wrong to find murder sexy (fictional or not) drives home my point that you're not operating with any sense of rationality. I couldn't agree more that there certainly are guys who think it's sexy to see women scared and then murdered. That's not my point. My point is that these guys don't have a healthy mental state.
