I'm almost certain the first cooking show (Lorianne Crook/broccoli cheese casserole) was aired on GAC. I have it on DVD along with something else I saved on there. If I can figure out how to make a copy, I wouldn't mind sending it to anyone. I found it to be extremely amusing! Eyesoflove, I haven't been able to watch the AHMOM collection either. I have the channel, but I'm usually out of town when it airs. I had set my DVR to record it two different times before leaving, and both times it had a brain fart. *sigh* I didn't even know about the CMT dinner/movie show. This board is so informative!

lol The whole time I was talking about the dinner and a movie special, I just knew that I was getting that movie title wrong, but I was just too durn lazy to look it up. I seem to remember liking both movies. How like me to have gotten the other woman's name wrong with the cooking show, as well. But at least I got the dish right.
Akusgal, if you ever obtain the technology to make me a copy of that show, I'd be forever grateful. As I said, I don't like broccoli cheese casserole and if I did, it sounds as though Alison's recipe is similar to my mom's, so it'd be solely for fan purposes. Anyway, I don't even know what I'm rambling about.
If you're interested in seeing that clip of "Jacob's Dream," you can find it on Julie Lee's My Space page.
The dinner/movie show just aired this past Spring, I think. I think Alison's segments were minimal, but they did talk about it on the CMT board if you wanted to try and find out more about it through old posts.

Akusgal. Of course I would also be interested in a copy of that show. I like Broccoli and we don't have something called velveeta over here but being a lousy cook I can always use cooking lessons.

I am pretty certain that I obtain the technology, just not the knowledge. I will be visiting my step-dad tomorrow (a technological genius with most things), and will see if he may be able to assist.
Tal, I am so with you on living life as a lousy cook. I will be moving out in less than a week, and am scared out of my mind to have to fix my own meals. In my spare time, I will probably read something along the lines of Meals for Dummies. So far, I have become very good with Ramen Noodles and chicken.. ha

Ah yes! Ramen noodles! My every other day fave! ;D Just kidding! I can cook from a recipe. It's more the patience and focus I lack. Though I do love the Ramen noodles! Don't need patience nor much focus for those!

Even with those, I tend to run off and dive into another project! Unless it's piano or my baby sis, I completely lack patience.
With so much going on, I actually forgot to bring the dvd. I won't be seeing my step dad for a while, so I came up with the idea of sending it to either of you so someone could possibly make a copy or two?? Just an idea! If someone agrees, I can mail it within a couple of days. Feel free to message!

akusgal, I don't know how personally to make a copy, but my dad does lol. Tal's a pretty smart cookie with that sort of thing, so she probably knows how to do it on her own, but I'd be glad to give it a whirl.
BTW, Ramen continues to be one of my all-time favorite meals. I've even used it as a side dish on many occasions!

LOL! Ramen noodles! Obviously an oriental invention even more popular than paper and almost as popular as gunpowder! And thanks for the compliment Eyesoflove but when it comes to computers I am usually just relaying info from a more knowledgeable source!

Congrats, eyesoflove! haha. See, ramen noodles are so ridiculously important for society.. for many reasons! So I have decided that I am terrible with anything dvd and will have someone help me when I move into school Thursday-ish. If the friends also lack skills in that department, I might be needing an address if someone is alright with that. Btw, glad to know that I'm not the only one going to the boards after a shower.
