What is the latest on their next album? Will there be a new one before the end of the year at least? Paper Airplane will be two years old next month, can you believe how fast time has flown!!!  God bless you and AKUS always!!!  Holly |

I haven't heard anything about a new album yet. I sure hope they are working on something new. I do read the tweets of Bary Bales, and he has not mentioned anything about a new AKUS album yet.

I hope they release a new album soon!!! Haven't heard anything about Alison Krauss or the band in awhile! I read tweets from the band and from time to time Jerry will respond or message on his proboards! He's awesome!! Just curious but how many of you have seen the European tour documentary on cmt back in 2004 I think?

I haven't seen it (yet).
But there was a 7 year gap between 'lonely runs both ways' and 'paper airplane'. And it is well known that Alison suffered from some pretty bad migraines while recording 'Paper Airplane'. I would not be surpirised if it will take them quite a while from now to release a new album, since Alison might be worried she'll get ill again....

Ron told me in December 2012 that they were gonna really start working on the new album in the new year, so I assume they've been at work on it for about 8 months now. But with the way they rely on Alison finding a set of perfect songs that all fit together, who knows how long it'll take them to actually finish it?

I guess it will take them quite some time, unfortunately. All we can do is wait, but I got to say that I am very ready for a new AKUS album. Their music is just plain perfect!
