Saw these posts on Twitter from a Nashville vocal coach named Ron Browning:

Alison Krauss has sought me out to be her voice coach for her next CD! Am I dreaming? We are both ecstatic! OMG!

ALISON KRAUSS for a voice client?? Amazing!!! She is so eager to learn, and she gets what I do--and wants more and MORE--I'm loving it!!!
Nice photo goes with it.

Seems a bit unprofessional that he tweeted that. Especially involving a private person such as Alison.

Maybe si, maybe no. But I am glad to know that she is taking good care of her voice!!!! We certainly don't want her to strain it. And it's not the first time, nor the second, in her life that she has gone back for further vocal training. Listen to the marked difference in her vocal sound and delivery, between her first CD "Too Late To Cry" when she was 16, and her second, "Two Highways". In the time in between CDs she definitely went back to the University of Illinois and took some vocal training, you can hear the difference. She may have done it again before recording "Forget About It", another marked improvement in her sound.

I understand her doing this if she is doing this to make sure that her voice is taken care of, but oh my goodness to be doing it for any other reason is nuts when her natural singing is so absolutely flawless!!! God bless you and Alison always!!! Holly

If her next CD comes out with her sounding like Tom Waits, we'll know that this was not a good thing!!

Ron Browning posted again very recently, don't have a copy at hand, but he used that word again that seems to be stuck to Alison as long as she lives, "angelic". Well, if the shoe fits.....
And so I don't think that she will wind up sounding like Tom Waits, nor Joe Cocker.
On another note, a few months ago, yet another delay in the Willie Nelson / AKUS tour was announced, and the announcement from her manangement was that there was a minor medical procedure that needed to be taken care of before the tour.
Everyone among her fans seemed to assume that it was another issue with her voice. May not have been the case, as I saw a photo of her quite recently, in which about a one-inch surgical incision that is healing, appears just below her left wrist. Looks pretty much like she had a little carpal tunnel issue there which may have affected her playing; if so, I'm glad our lady is staying on top of things like that and staying in tip-top shape!!! May she sing and play, and shine brightly, forever!!!
I don't have a Photobucket account, but if it helps anybody to find the photo, it is titled:
