Actually, I think it may be her 29th; some clarification is still needed as to whether she's won 27 or 28 in the past. Now I'm going to go and find out how many this Solti guy won during his life, and also how many Quincy Jones has. Last I heard, Quincy and Alison were tied.
(EDIT) Okay, I went to the always-infallible Wikipedia, it says Quincy and Alison ARE tied as I said, at 27, like you said, holly. Does anyone remember a year or two ago when there was some confusion about the 27th, or the 26th? What was that about?
In any event, she is closing in on Sir George Solti; when her next CD comes out, who knows, she might tie or pass him. THEN will the radio stations play her? (They aren't playing Solti or Quincy, so.... probly not)

^^^ At one point I thought that Alison should have gotten two awards for every time that an album of hers that she produced herself was given one of the Best Album awards, one for being the singer and the other one for being the album producer. What gave me that impression was her getting one of her many Grammy awards for being the producer of Nickel Creek's album named This Side back in early 2003. Apparently though when she is the singer of the albums that get the Best Album Grammy awards, one award is all that she gets, not one as a singer and another for being the producer, just one. Dang it! God bless you and Alison always!!! Holly P.S. Sir George got 31.
