Does anyone know if you can listen to the show on the radio or any other way of getting to see it? I am not going to be able to attend, but would love to hear/see it.
To everyone else that gets to go, I hope you all have a GREAT time!!!
Thanks! Candi

Thanks Natalie! I just went to their website. You can sign up for as a guest and listen for free for up to 3 days. So, I signed up. Hopefully it works tomorrow night. I don't want to have to pay for all those other channels just to listen to one. But I think it will work. Thanks for the info.!!!

I emailed Shari Laci at the IBMA earlier this week to get the scoop on the broadcast. Here is what she sent back... "Thanks for getting in touch with me and after we return from Louisville, I will be posting the stations on the website and then you can follow up directly with them for air times. I won't be able to get to this until next week when I have a more comprehensive list and can take a breather to get it done. Sirius Satellite Radio will be airing it live tomorrow night and WSM Radio 650a out of Nashville will air it on Sunday night. I know they can be picked up in many states so you might want to check them out. Hope this helps, Shari" I might try the free Sirius thing tomorrow night to see if I can record it and try to post it for everyone to hear. In case you don't know you can listen online to WSM at www.wsmonline.com/ and click on the Listen Live area on the left side of the web page. You will have to register and give a bunch of information about yourself, but its free and you can listen to OPY broadcasts each week if there is someone good on. Also, I believe that they still have some archieves of old broadcasts you can listen to. Doug

I didn't get to hear the entire show, but I didn't miss the most important part of the night. I just want to say that AKUS sounded terrific!! Their new song restless was great!!! And Sawin' on the Strings was for the most part. I don't know who the male was singing, but he forgot the words. Alison and all the instrumentalist sounded GREAT!! I hope everyone who was able to go had a great time. From what I heard, it was fabulous!!

I didn't get to hear the first hour, thanks to dumb extra credit for my accounting class. Ugh! Anyway, I got to hear Restless and Sawing on the Strings and the song Dan sang, which was "This Sad Song."
Sierra Hull did a great job on Sawing on the Strings! Here's a shout out to her! Yeahhhhh! ;D

I've got the end of the broadcast loading up to the download site. I recorded the entire broadcast and had no problem until "Restless" and then had some buffering problems. I patched what I got together and that is what I have in the file IBMA Close.mp3 on homepage.mac.com/zdje13/FileSharing12.html . It also has the Sawin' on the Strings and all the credits that I'm sure everyone will enjoy hearing over the music. Anyway, I guess that makes me feel better about making it available to everyone. This is just a teaser until the single come out later this month and then this version of "Restless" will disappear along with "A Living Prayer" from the download site. I'll find Dan's sad song and upload it too so that everyone can get excited about buying the CD and throw away this bootleg copy. Doug

Fogcitygal, When you click on the download arrow, it should automatically copy over somewhere on your harddrive. You can usually specify where you want the file to download to on your hardrive. I think that your real question may be how to get the MP3 to play on my computer. MP3's will play using RealOne Player or Quicktime but not Windows Media Player. Check your Applications and see if you have either RealOne Player or Quicktime. If you don't you can download either for free RealOne at www.real.com/freeplayer/?rppr=rnwk or Quicktime at www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ . Once you have either of these, open up the particular application and then File >>> Open...then point the application to the MP3 file. It should open up and start playing. There are lots of other MP3 players out there that can be downloaded for free that will allow you to organize and play your MP3 songs. My favorite is iTunes which is used to set up iPods. I'm a Mac user and it is a Mac product, but the version for Windows works fine. Maybe other Windows visitors to this site have some other ideas. Hope this helps. Write me back if you still can't get it to work. Doug

Thanks Doug! This Sad Song is great.
It took me a while to figure out how I got A Living Prayer saved to my computer before, but I realized that for me, to even hear the song being played, instead of just regular clicking on the arrow to download, Right click on the arrow and then choose Save Target As... and then you save it to any folder you want. Then I open the file with Real One Player.
Oh, but when I save the file, it saves as an MPEG instead of MP3. Anyone know how I can save as an MP3, or is it always going to do this?

Thank you so much Doug! I didn't get to hear This Sad Song! And also thanks for Restless. I did get to hear that, but now that I can listen to it more, the excitement for their release keeps building! That must have taken up a lot of your time, but I GREATLY appriciate it!

Kimberly,
I'm suprised that the file will download as a MPEG rather than MP3. I do have an idea, though. Do all the files download as MPEGs or just some of them. I use different programs to extract them and it could be that the means of extraction determines whether they are MPEG or MP3s. If it turns out that what I am saying is the case then I can fix them all. My wife is out of town with her Windows based laptop, otherwise I could figure it out myself.
Thanks
