I have been viewing this board as a guest for a while now, and finally registered today. I can honestly say that I have been a fan of Alison since 1991. Yes, I may be showing my age a bit, but I first saw her on CMT singing "I've Got That Old Feeling." While that video was still playing, I remember rushing to get a tape to record what was left of the song. I might have recorded maybe 1 minute, and I listened to that tape constantly until I scraped up enough money to buy the CD. Once I heard the entire CD, I was hooked for life. "Tonight I'll Be Lonely Too" is my absolute favorite, with "New Favorite" a close second. Many other songs are special to me, too many to list. I have seen her live twice, managed to collect every CD, my personal license plate on my car reads "NEWFAVR8", and my youngest daughter, Alison Ann, was born January 27, 2006.
Obsessed? Not at all. I'm just a simple guy who was absolutely captured by such a perfect, pure voice 15 years ago. Throughout these years, Alison's music has continued to be a part of my life, and I look forward to many more years to come.

Oh no, I agree, definitely not obsessed. Alison's voice is just captivating and heavenly... there's nothing wrong with loving it! haha. Well let me be the first to welcome you to the board, Steve. You seem to be a pretty dedicated fan, so more power to ya! Welcome again and enjoy the board. And big congrats to you on your baby girl.. lovely name by the way. hehe.

Welcome to the board Steve-- you are among friends, and no obsession is too much. We all have them. Right now I'm listening to Vasser Clements and Alison go head to head on MIDNIGHT MOONLIGHT. Absolutely amazing!!!

I think that's neat!!! Your license plate and your daughter!! Neato!! Haha...I want to put something on my license plate...anyone got any ideas?! lol! I've been thinking about that now!! Thanks NEWFAVR8!

Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. Although I don't get to check out the site as much as I would like to, every time I do I always seem to find more great information and interesting people. I guess you could say that this website is my........New Favorite.
