I guess I'll start off this thread by introducing myself...
My name is Natalie, I'm twenty years old and currently live in Nashville, TN. I'm originally from Austin, TX but moved to beautiful Nashville last September. I'm blessed to have some pretty incredible roomates who all share an interest in lovely Ms. Alison Krauss [including "Emily" from here on the boards]. I'm a big bluegrass fan [AKUS, Rhonda Vincent, Nickel Creek] and also a traditional country freak [Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Dottie West]. I love traveling, reading, writing, photography, the 1950's and of course surfing the internet.

Hi NATALIE!!! (and everyone else  My name is Sarah...I'm 23 years old and live in Salisbury, MA. (although hopefully not for too much longer) I just recently started listening to country music in the last year or so. It was Martina McBride who really pulled me into country music. My friend made me listen to her and it led me to watch a little CMT, which is where I first discovered Alison and Union Station. I remember thinking that Alison had the most beautiful voice I had ever heard and I knew the moment I heard them that I was done...and that I would now become a country music/bluegrass junkie. Other artists I like include: Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, JoDee Messina, the Dixie Chicks, Rhonda Vincent, Brad Paisley and countless others. I also love a little rock and roll and Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac are my favorites!! Other than music I love sports (especially my Red Sox), cooking (and eating), reading, and hanging out with my friends and boyfriend. I'm excited to have this place to talk about Alison and Union Station and am excited to meet other people who love them too!! |

My name is Chelsea. Im 15 and from Houston,TX( also hopefully not for long) I am a HUGE AKUS fan and have been for about 3 and a half years now. Ive seen AKUS once live and got the privalege to meet everyone but Alison. And Im going to the Great High Moutain Tour in Austin where I HOPE to get my chance to meet her then. Hi everyone! As my name suggests, I'm from San Francisco, CA and my friends on the boards call me foggy. We don't get much bluegrass in SF so I didn't discover AKUS until they did backup for Shania Twain on her TV special last year. I've been a committed fan ever since and hope that they will perform in this area soon because I would love to see/hear them perform live!

Hey Everyone. I'm Lindsey. I'm 23 and currently working on my degree from Ohio State University here in Columbus, Ohio. I have to say Ohio is a nice place, but like most of you I'm hoping to leave it soon! I'm so glad Natalie created this space, it's so nice. Thank You! Hi, I'm a 30 year old single dad with a 10 year old daughter. We love all types of music especially country and here recently have really gotten into bluegrass.
We enjoy the outdoors (camping, swimming, fishing, rodeos, motor sports, Braves games) and basicly anything we can do together. This year we have been to several rodeo's including the PBR that came to the Georgia Dome a couple months ago, Shania a few weeks back, Braves game the other day and the NASCAR Nextel Cup at the Atlanta Motor Speedway back in March.
We're heading to Florida for a week Friday when she gets out of school to celebrate a great school year, She made straight A's all year. Then when we get back Monday 6/7/4 we'll be preparing for the GHM show at the Fox the following day. We're vey excited about the show.

Hello everyone! My name is Tom, I am 38 and I live in Nashville, TN. I moved here from Miami a little over a year ago. Since I moved here, I have seen Alison 5 times and I am getting ready to see her again on Monday in Huntsville. I have enjoyed her music I guess since "New Favorite" came out in 1995, however, I have really been a huge fan for about 3 years now, I guess since "Oh Brother" came out. Her voice is so very calming to me. I have posted at the CMT site that I disovered a couple of months ago. A 'Foggy' friend told me about this site.  It looks great! Natalie, is this site affiliated with AKUS or is this your own creation? Either way, it seems you have done a TERRIFIC job! Thanks for doing this. Take care all and have a GREAT day! Tom |

Hi everyone. My name is Deidre and I am 17 and live in the middle of nowhere, Wyoming. I am almost done with my junior year and can't wait to finish up next year and hopefully move to Nashville. I play four instruments, but my new favorite is the mandolin. I am not that good yet but I'm working on it. I also enjoy traveling, surfing the net and spending time with my awesome friends.
