You're going to probably think I'm dumb, but you're the best person I could think of that might know the answer to my question being that you're the professional. Everytime I try to sharpen my eyeliner pencils they crumble and fall apart and just whittle down to nothing and I'm never able to use them. I can settle for one of the mechanical type that you don't have to sharpen, but I really love the GC Smoothers type because it goes on so...well, smooth. But when I sharpen it it's just a complete and total mess. What am I doing wrong? I'm using brand new sharpeners so I know they're not dull. Stupid question, I know, but thanks in advance.

I know you didn't post this for me, but when you are sharpening your pencil turn the sharpener itself, not the eyeliner. That will cure the problem.

Ahhh, sorry I'm so slow to reply... I have been out of state and have also been having computer issues...
I have also had this problem... I've just switched over to mechanical pencils [which usually glide on nicely] and I also really like "The Body Shop"'s pencils.
Good luck with it!

Thanks, Natalie. Turning the sharpener helped some, but it's still a headache. I like mechanical pencils the best, too, but I usually have to wear the cheap stuff and it can be hard to find in a mechanical. Lately I've just been using a really dark brown eye shadow by Jane and a fine tipped eye shadow applicator. It does the job pretty good. Thanks again!
