I check these forums everyday (a couple times a day to be honest, I'm online anyway ). But there're not that many posts these days, but anyway: Welcome to these forums!

Yeah, the holidays seem to have taken everyone's time! Or maybe recent developments with AK and/or AKUS have some of the fans feeling somewhat discouraged or alienated? Comments please!

LOL Turbo, always the optimist? Anyway, I also check in often but I think there is just little going on with AK/Akus news wise at the moment. I am sure soon we will have things to talk about. For sure after Febr. 8th. Welcome to the board Cricket! If you have questions or interesting stuff, feel free to post! ;D

Thank u eileen333, turbo and tal for ur welcoming remarks. Glad 2 c there r still sum who use this board. Dear dear turbo, please don't fret about alison. I read ur interesting letter, parts of it were very good. I hav 2 admit I haven't been 2 hot on her album & touring with Robert Plant. It's just not my choice of music, but I would never judge her nor should any1 ever keep an artist as talented as alison from exploring other venues. Having said that, I also feel she is definitely in God's hands and capable of winning others to Christ. So maybe this is a great place 4 her to be.

Hi cricket! Thank you for your remarks. You must text a lot, it appears you've gotten mastery over the art of abbreviation! Anyway, hope you're right! But I can hardly wait for the next full-length CD of new AKUS material - do you realize it's been over 4 years? I did enjoy SOME of the material on RS, particulary Trampled Rose and Sister Rosetta. Did not like some of the other songs, for various reasons. AHMOM was nice, but only 4 new songs, the last one of which I really really did not care for. And where were Barry and Larry? I guess almost every famous band changes personnel over the years, and I'm pretty sure Larry A. is now history, I've seen credits where he's working elsewhere now and billed as "the former drummer for AKUS". That's okay, he was never really listed as part of the group anyway. But I sure hope that this summer I can walk into some dark theatre somewhere and see, left-to-right, Jerry, Barry, Alison, Dan and Ron standing on a big rug singing some of those great heartbreak songs again, and hear Alison's witty reparte with her guys, picking on Dan's hair or Barry's hunting or Ron's quietness!! Good times, good times......
