That is a fantastic idea...mind if I steal it? AKUS savings fund. My family and friends would get a kick out of that. I think they have learned to put an auditory block up when I start talking about them.

Silverqueen, good news: I bought tickets to the Davis show at the fan presale and they were second row aisle seats.
Interestingly, there was no apparent security at the Davis show. The Mondavi Center is a very elegant modern venue and the audience was older. Probably viewed as 'not dangerous'.
That said, it appears that I am old enough to collectively be your mother....that said, I approve of your passion for AKUS and obviously, it could be enduring. So best open that AKUS savings account.

EXCELLENT! Oh my gosh, that makes me so happy! I really hope it's the same at the Fox. The front rows there are alwaysalwaysalways filled with rich socialites who just want to talk and drink. I really hope the presale fixes that. Oh my gosh! =D
Funny story: I was going to start a savings account with my graduation money, but then I spent it on tickets to the Knoxville show! XD

Yeah, my check was supposed to go to saving for my next semester of college...we should send the AKUS camp an email asking them to pay for our educations because it's their fault for being such amazing musicians that we can't help but to spend our money to go see them! lol

I don't know the details; I just learned about it from people here on this board. I think it was around 2005 and that was when she started to have a bodyguard. I assume the person was caught, but I don't know any more details. I think Turbo might know.

Is it bad that I totally have planned on living in Nashville for the specific purpose of seeing the band at the many concerts they have around Tennessee and meeting Alison when she is singing down the aisle at Kroger? Not to be like a stalker but just so one day I may be walking down the street and just happen to run across them? I can already imagine my FB status..."Met Alison in kroger today- My life= complete (sorry future children and husband)"
I always dreamed of living down south (I can't stand Michigan) - I'm pretty sure I was born there and was somehow switched with some northern kid. Now I'm going to apply to a Seminary college in Georgia. I wanted to live there even before I discovered AKUS...it is just a funny coincidence that Tennessee happens to be in the south. lol. All of my money would be spent travelling to their concerts.

I'll be seeing AKUS for the very first time in Chautauqua, NY on July 29th! I'M SO EXCITED!!!! A dream come true! We (I'm going with my aunt and cousin) would've gone to the Kettering, OH show on June 10th but the NY show is actually a shorter drive from where I live. lol It won't be my first time seeing Alison, I saw her and Robert Plant together in 2008. My Alison cherry was popped then. lol

"Alison cherry" lolol! ;D Oh my goodness, I only stayed in the States this summer so I could see this tour. If I didn't want to live abroad, I would totally plan my whole life around AK shows. I'd live in the mountains and emerge several times a year for AK shows. I would actually give just about anything to have been at the Bluebird Cafe benefit. As it is, I'm hopefully going to spend most of my life on another continent, so AK concerts will be rare. Enjoy them for me, you guys. That's why I want to see her as many times as I can before leaving. akusfanforeverrr, it makes me happy seeing someone love the South that much. For most of my life I was ashamed to be Southern, but living somewhere else for a while really changes how you feel about the place you come from. I'm still a bit baffled as to why you'd choose Georgia, though. There's not much here. ;D I love Tennessee. I'm a sucker for the mountains. I hope that seminary is in North Georgia so you won't have to travel far to Nashville!

The college is in Atlanta Now I can relate to "Oh, Atlanta". I knew I liked that song for some reason! Lol and Geogia has Paula Deen! What can be better? LOL somehow I get the feeling that she is not as popular in her home state as in other states. haha.

Who, Paula Deen? People here love her. My little sister's class just did a project on famous Georgians and got to interview her son. It was a big deal, lol. Oh gosh, is that what Michigans think of Georgia? Atlanta and Paula Deen? Goodness!
Atlanta's nice, though. Not actually so Southern these days, but nice. Most importantly, you'll always get a tour date there for any AKUS tour, and it'll be easy to travel to Tennessee when necessary. So I think you've chosen well. =D And yes, "Oh Atlanta" is always a huge hit with Atlanta audiences!

You have to come back eventually and we have to see AK together, it would be epic. I can't swing Knoxville this time around but we need to eventually!

I'll do what I can! Tbh I'll be more likely to come home to see AKUS than to see my own family. XD

I should delete my post upthread. Not going to the Chautauqua, NY show after all. It's sold-out and my aunt hadn't bought the the tickets, thinking she'd be able to get some when the show's in 16 days. It's a 5,000-seat venue, of course it's going to sell out. I'm feeling pretty crushed because my dream's not coming true after all and I was so excited. Enjoy/hope you enjoyed the shows for me, guys.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! =(
You might be able to wait until the day before (or the day of) the event and get marked-down last-minute tickets from a reseller site.
I think I'm going to try my luck at that for the first Knoxville show.
