In her recent New York City interview, Alison mentioned having sung harmony in Gaelic with a Scottish folk artist named Kathleen MacInnes. I've been going crazy trying to find any details on this, no luck. Does anyone there know what CD she was talking about, and maybe what song in particular?

Haha that was my question to her! I looked it up and and didn't find much. Tweet with a little more information here. I'm not sure if that means it was recorded for Transatlantic Sessions and just never aired, or if it's just recorded for an album in the future. I wish I would've asked her for more information but my brain doesn't really work very well when I'm talking to her and I'm just glad I was actually able to string words together to form fairly coherent sentences. Edit: Also there's this: Appearing as a guest of Bela Fleck at the 2012 Celtic Connections Festival (after previous collaborations there with artists ranging from Salsa Celtica and Oumou Sangare), her second CD is imminent, featuring a range of guests including Fleck and Alison Krauss. So...I guess maybe it's for her album that has yet to be released?

Internet illiterate that I am, I still managed to find this: www.allcelticmusic.com/dvd/6a8ab4da-19c5-11e1-b0f1-12313d02ceaa/Transatlantic%20Sessions%205.htmlOn this disc there is a Kathleen MacInnes recording, on the same disc on which Alison sings "Lay My Burden Down", but no indication if the song listed, "Oran Na Cloiche" is the one Alison was referring to as having sung harmony on. Further research is needed, I will proceed to try, any help appreciated!!! (I-tunes??? Next stop.) Edited a few minutes later: apparently the first time I viewed the above page it hadn't downloaded completely, now I see that there is also another Alison recording, "Lonesome Moonlight Waltz" and two other Kathleen MacInnes songs, "Gur Milis Morag" and "Reul Àlainn A’ Chuain", no telling right this second, which one has Alison on harmony. Will continue to research as best I can..........

Turbo, that is a DVD for Transatlantic Sessions. Lonesome Moonlight Waltz is on YouTube and is, I believe, just an instrumental. Oran a Cloiche and Gur Milis Morag do not feature Alison at all. Reul Àlainn A’ Chuain is listed as a bonus and isn't on YouTube, but I don't think Alison is on that either. In my post above, the article there mentions Alison being on Kathleen's new album.
