I cut Alison's parts out of the Charlie Louvin documentary Still Rattlin' the Devil's Cage and uploaded them for y'all.
The video's unlisted, since this is an indie doc, but share the link at will.

Had to delete it. If anybody really really wants to see it, I'll upload it again and PM you the link. It's just that this one's tricky because it's an indie doc and it was made for a good cause, so - unlike with most of the things we upload at cloudscatchfire - I actually care about protecting the rights of the filmmakers.

Mindy, this is for you and also for anyone else on this board who wants to upload things to YouTube that stand a high chance for deletion - RE-NAME THEM BEFORE UPLOADING THEM!! You can call them "My Dog Digs A Hole" or "Dad wrecks his pickup" or something on your hard drive, then upload them, then PM here anyone interested in seeing it, send them the link or tell them the fake name, and in the PM also tell them how to correctly re-name it once they have downloaded it. However, anyone downloading such a video must agree not to share it once it's been correctly re-named, and also not to give the fake name or link here on the publicly-viewed part of this board.
Make sense?

The filmmaker didn't find it because of the title, but because I'd posted the link on another site which I thought nobody would see. Turns out, he had an account on that site, too (and probably a Google alert for keywords relating to that particular documentary, if I had to guess). So it didn't matter what I named the file; it did matter that I was discussing the documentary in the same place where I'd posted the link. At least posts here don't show up in Google alerts.
Anyway, it's not necessary to first name the file something innocuous on your hard drive, because YT lets you choose the name of your video when you upload it. Anyone who downloads from YT will still have to rename after they download, though.

Well I'd like to see your video...and if you have any trouble putting it back on YT, you could try dailymotion, megavideo or vimeo

Also I have another suggestion for sending large files that are too large to send as an email attachment, such as the above-discussed video: www.dropbox.comSeems to work pretty good, and it is free.
