They seem to talk a lot among themselves on the stage between songs or even during songs. On the "Live" DVD, you can see Alison talked to Jerry about something in the middle of a song.
Any idea what they talk about? Is this a common practice for other bands too?

When I saw them in Knoxville I had front row tickets and I got to hear a lot of what was said between songs. Basically it's a lot of friendly banter and silly jokes that they mumble. There's a fair bit of communication going on to make sure everyone's on the same page with the next song, i.e. counting it off and all that. It wasn't anything that kept me on the edge of my seat, but it was neat to be privvy to all that stuff.

Thanks for the info. I have not been to many live events. I was surprised by all the interactions on stage.

I think most bands are that way whether they're just a local group or big-timing it. I'm in a band and we rarely go from one song to another without saying something in between. I guess a solo headliner would be different because the band is there as backup and less as an equal part of the show.
