Hey everyone -- Guess what?! Jen [from here on the boards] drove to Nashville this morning and surprised me with tickets to see Alison on the Opry today/tonight. It was so unexpected and completely nice of her to do that for me. Anyway, got tickets to the 1:00 show and to the 9:30 show... The 1:00 one was amazing... Alison and Ron came out and sang four songs, the first was an instrumental, then "A Living Prayer", "Blessed Jesus Hold My Hand" and a gospel song [the name escapes me, sorry]. We ended up driving to a Rhonda Vincent show then back to Nashville... The 9:30 show was exceptional as well, this time Dan joined Ron and Alison, they sang two more gospel numbers and sounded wonderful [well, duh]. Anyway, here's a few photos... Credit goes to Jen as she took them with her camera ...

Alison is exceptionally gorgeous! Wow! I got to listen at wsmonline.com but of course didn't get to see it.

Is the Saturday night Opry still aired on TV? I don't have cable anymore so I'm out of the loop --

I believe it airs live on GAC, which I don't have either, I only get CMT.

Yeah, it's on GAC. My friend was over at my house and I was telling her that I'd have to go to the computer and listen for Alison when she came on. Well, my friend said that this past weekend was a special promotion weekend with her satellite company, and she was getting GAC for the weekend. I asked if we could go over to her house so I could record Alison's performance and she said no. It made me SOOOO MAD! What a friend. I mean, it would have taken 10 minutes max.

Natalie,
Thanks for posting the photos! I wasn't able to attend (although I wanted to get tickets but the job interferes at present) for the 79th Anniversary Grand OLe Opry show. I was able to listen from work, though.

Natalie, It airs on GAC. I saw the rerun of it last night. If I can catch it again, I'll tape it for you and bring it the next time I'm in Music City(I guess that's assuming I find a VCR tape--kinda don't use 'em anymore). It was a little different than the 9:30 show. Alison and Ron performed "Cluck Old Hen", and Alison, Ron, and Dan did "A Living Prayer."
