We were lucky enough to go to the Great High Mountain tour in Lexington, KY this weekend and we had an awesome time! Alison was amazing as ever and the rest of the show was really good too. Has anyone else gone to any of the shows?

I saw the GHMT in Minneapolis, and loved it...
I'd be curious to know what acts you liked the best besides AKUS. I was really taken with the Reeltime Travellers myself, and now wish I had bought their CD at the show, because it's hard to find. I'll probably have to order it online.

They were wonderful! I am not good with the names of everyone though, I really enjoyed most-everyone, but some of the names blended in. Maybe after attending the next two shows I'll be less mixed up. I love the Cox family, they are so talented and Suzann'es harmonies REALLY remind me of Alison. The Whites, too. Gosh, everyone was great, such a nice mix.

I loved Reeltime Travelers. The second best act after AKUS. Ralph Stanley was a treat to listen too. Sierra and Cody Hull were amazing.
It was a great and memorable night.

The GHMT was excellent. Other than not buying band/group CD's, or Dr Stanley's, was not getting near front row seats.
Three hours of some of the best music, ever!

I went to the show in Columbus on the 6th. It was amazing, and now seem like it was forever ago. But hearing that great music that I love, and even the new voices that I'd happily add to my CD collection was great. The show was so great if fact that after I got home from the show that night, I got online and bought a ticket for Cincinnati the next night. That night turned out to be even more special and amazing than I hoped. I love reading all the posts about the latest shows on here, it really takes me back to such fantastic times! Keep on posting...

Has anyone heard about the GHMT and Cox Family? The Cox Family was not at the Winston-Salem NC show and had been previously. I was wondering if they had prior engagements, or if someone had news on why they didn't show? That info is per an attendee at the W-S, NC show.

Man I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of the tour. It must have been a great ride for all of the people in the show. They all gave great performances for sure. I know they'll need a rest, but I can't wait for the next one!

Lindsey,
I know, I was thinking the same thing. They must be thinking a well deserved rest from motels/coaches is near. I wonder about the camraderie of the cast, if they will miss their fellow cast members?
The time seemed to go so fast. I bought my tickets for the Milwaukee WI show 4/28. The first few days seemed to go slow, then the days seemed to pass faster. Before I knew it, it was time to go to the show.
Absolutely, hands down, the best show/concert I've attended, great artists, songs, etc. And now . . . tomorrow is the last day of this scheduled tour.
I'm hoping the autumn/fall tour materializes, and that many of the same artists are on the tour [AKUS for sure, Nashville Bluegrass Band - sorry about the off subject bands, Natalie!, and many others, The Whites, The Cox Family, etc]
I read one comment about The Nashville Bluegrass Band being , too good! Of all things. Woudl they say the same about AKUS? Ridiculous. Some people can't apprecite class, I guess.

You are so right Lindsey. And for those of us who are still waiting for the tour to come to our parts of the country, let's hope that after their well-deserved rest they will continue to tour in the fall. Man I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of the tour. It must have been a great ride for all of the people in the show. They all gave great performances for sure. I know they'll need a rest, but I can't wait for the next one!
