Who is this Dave Stewert guy? I've never heard of him. english Dave Stewart was kind of a "musical director" to feature scottish Annie Lennox in a formation called Eurythmics ... from wikipedia: "The Tourists (and Dave Stewart & Annie Lennox's romantic liaison) ended in 1980, though the pair continued to work together. They formed a new musical project named Eurythmics, and went on to be one of the most successful pop-rock duos of all time. After a string of hit singles and albums, the duo split in 1990 ..." this storytelling video gives you a taste Eurythmics - Would I Lie To You?live and (let´s say) dated Eurythmics - Would I lie to you? Live '87 Sydneyfrom wikipedia: "went on to achieve global success with their second album Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), released in 1983. The title track was a worldwide hit, topping the chart in various countries including the US" from wikipedia: "including her work within Eurythmics, Lennox is one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 80 million records worldwide" Annie Lennox & David Bowie in some Queen connection, first Rehearsal, then Live ...

Dave Stewart on his new album ... How was it working with Alison Krauss?"It was great. We got on really well. She liked the song straight away, and she spent a bit of time thinking about the harmonies. Her son came in the studio and we had a lot of fun. It seemed as if we knew each other for years." found here

Dave Stewart is set to release a documentary video about this album, it includes an appearance by Alison, but here is the text of the announcement:
Songwriter, guitarist and one half of the chart topping ’80s duo the Eurythmics Dave Stewart will debut his documentary, The Blackbird Diaries and The Ringmaster General, in Nashville. The film features appearances from Martina McBride, Alison Krauss and The Secret Sisters among others. The project captures the time spent recording his albums The Blackbird Diaries and the soon-to-be-released The Ringmaster General, which were recorded at John McBride’s Blackbird Studio in Nashville.
If I don't manage to catch this video I hope one of y'all will!!
Thanks!

Alison is amazing because as she gets older her voice just gets more beautiful. How many other singers can say that? None, I think.
That having been said, I listened to this Dave Stewart song, and Alison's heavenly voice in my opinion was the only good part of the song; I thought the mix was terrible, the rhythm was jerky and out of sync, the lyrics not up to the level Alison usually is involved with. But I'm sure others will have different opinions. (Of course I'm keeping a recording of it though!)
