Alison and Union Station performed along with Jamey Johnson, bluegrass great Larry Sparks and more. Alison was inducted into the Opry on July 3, 1993. “Alison truly is the artist’s artist,” Opry Vice President and General Manager Pete Fisher said as he presented her with a commemorative print. “She is looked up to by some of the finest performers in the music industry as truly the best. For those of us who are destined to go to heaven, you give us a sneak peek of what an angel sounds like.” “A fallen angel!” Alison said before recognizing the members of Union Station. “We all feel so lucky to get to do this together. And I feel the luckiest of all to get to play with these guys.” Alison’s anniversary celebration was part of the Opry’s All-American All-Star Weekend which included performances by Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, Lennon and Maisy from ABC’s Nashville, Bill Anderson and more.
