I just got this email from AKUS:
You asked... We listened!
Free Alison Krauss track previously unreleased
The highly sought-after song "Jubilee" that appeared in the documentary Paper Clips will be made available free to AKUS fans for a 24-hour period. The song has not been available on any recording or through any web site. Until now!
Starting 12:01AM on the morning of Monday, June 26th thru midnight Monday June 26th on the homepage of www.alisonkrauss.com there will be a special link in the News section that will enable Alison Krauss fans to download the song for free! After this very special 24-hour period, the song "Jubilee" will be available for sale exclusively thru Apple's iTunes.
The movie Paper Clips tells the moving story of the tiny Tennessee mountain town of Whitwell and the middle school students there who took on a most inspiring project. Launched out of the school principal's desire to help her students open their eyes to the diversity of the world beyond their insulated little valley, the students responded to what had been a completely unfamiliar chapter in human history - the Holocaust. The students committed to honor every single soul lost in the Holocaust by collecting paper clips to represent each individual life exterminated by the Nazis. What happened next would change the students, teachers, and the entire town forever.
Paper Clips, named one of the top films of 2004 by the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures, acclaimed by critics as "Oscar caliber" (Joel Siegel, Good Morning America), has received audience and jury awards at film festivals across the country. Please Click Here for additional information on Paper Clips.
