See them at: www.ibma.org/ibma.awards/2005/nominees.aspAs I recall last year AKUS had 9 nominations and was shut out, but had no new album release. This year with LRBW release hopefully they will win something. It's great to see Living Prayer up. It would be wonderful for Ron to win. He deserves the recognition for the talent he has. Rain Please Go Away is kind of a surprise as Song of the Year, but its definitely more "Bluegrassy" than what most of us consider as our favorites on LRBW. Also, note the confirmation that the IBMA Awards will be sponsored by SIRIUS again. I would say SIRIUS will broadcast again this year, so sign up for your free trial membership for the 27th. Doug

Woo!! Go AKUS!! They really deserve it, even if they say they don't really focus on awards at all, they really deserve em. They are such amazing musicians and people, that I think they deserve so much more, but I don't really know what that would be! I'm really happy to see 'A Living Prayer' up there. It's an amazing song, and Ron is a really influencial and beautiful writer. Even if they leave again with no awards (which I DEFINATLY don't think will happen!) in my opinion, the should get all of em and more! Good luck akus!! God bless.

I'd LOOOOOOOOVE to see the band do well at this year's awards show. I especially would like to Alison with Female Vocalist of the Year. IMO, she really did shine on LRBW. She showed so much range, control and of course emotion. It's such an awesome CD and deserves some awards. And if Jerry doesn't get an award then I'll just know the show was fixed lol. I'll keep my fingers crossed for them . Stacy
