Here's an interesting tidbit I just found......
"Lightning in a Bottle" (Nov. 26) is Antoine ("Training Day") Fuqua's documentary made at Radio City Music Hall of a grand blues gathering, talents including Ruth Brown, Robert Cray, B.B. King, Alison Krauss, Keb' Mo', Odetta, Macy Gray, Dr. John plus Natalie Cole and Bill Cosby
I'm really into documentaries so I'll have to see this one when it comes out. I just wonder how much AKUS is on it. It should be a good one though....Radio City Music Hall! Gotta love it! I was there a few years back...absolutely beautiful!

Hi Jen, From my post in July:
"Lightning in a Bottle" features a host of notable pairings [including] James Blood Ulmer teams with Alison Krauss". I don't think the guys from AKUS are involved.

Unfortunately Alison played a very small part in the concert. She only plays violin on one song.

Unfortunately Alison played a very small part in the concert. She only plays violin on one song. She also got some negative press. One reviewer asked why she was at this concert -- the director was criticized for trying to include too much.

I think it was taped in 2003 but just released recently. If it was released before this, it was a very limited release in just a few cities.
