Just wanted to wish Alison and Jerry the best of luck as I believe they are both up for a CMA tonight. Lets hope they walk away with the honours (thats not a spelling mistake in the UK!!).

Congratulations to Jerry on his win!
I was hoping that AKUS would get recognized. I knew that Alison was a long shot for female vocalist, but I thought the band had a shot. I was surprised with LeAnn Womack's three wins. I thought she might get female vocalist. I was glad she didn't, just because Alison holds the record for most wins in a night by a female with 4. Now LeAnn and Loretta are tied with three each, just behind Alison.
I thought Alison sounded great, I was disappointed with the sound problems at the start of her number. She sounded really good singing harmony with Brad too. (IMO better then the Dolly Parton version that is on the radio) Alison's dress was a little too sheer for the back lighting =)

I did see Brad win an award for Whiskey Lullaby(that could be considered one for Ally)... Talk to you later on!

Oh, I always love her dresses! I'm sure she would've anticipated showing off a little leg in that one considering the bottome was made of lace. They looked awesome! I'm so upset that I missed their performance as well as Dolly's. I was at my dad's house and they have satellite and no network channels . My Poor Ol' Heart is one of my favorite AKUS tunes, too. I know.. her dress looked so beautiful. She always looks great at award shows, and pretty well everything else too. I know this is a major girl statement, but I loved her hair! I'm so glad she didn't wear extentions again, and I think she looks so much better with it really short like that. Ok anyway, her dress was gorgeous, but I know she probably doesn't think the same about it as many of us do. She really shouldn't have anything to be worried or freaked out about, she has beautiful legs and she pulled it off amazingly, not many people could. Besides all of that, AKUS' performance was so wonderful. Even with the minor mic malfunction at the beginning, I still think it was the greatest performance of the night.

She did look great. I loved the lace! I thought she looked gorgeous. I loved her hair too. I've always liked it at that length, i'm really glad she didn't put extentions in because it looked really pretty. She pulled that dress off very well too! That dress probably wouldn't look right on some people but she definitely had the legs to wear it. The performance was amazing also. Personally, with all the sound difficulties with all the other artists through out the night, AKUS was the best. Except for the mic thing but thats okay, atleast it didn't last long!

OMG, I just re-read my post up there and, aside from having typos, I realize it looked like I was calling her legs awesome, but I was referring to the band LOL!! I mean, her legs looked awesome, too, but I just came across as a little too enthusiastic about them lol. I can't say enough how much I love that dress. I want her stylist if I ever become famous lol. I agree that her hair was really pretty, although I do like when she does extensions just to change it up. So, what happened with the mic? I missed the show . Stacy

Haha, that was so funny. I didn't really pay attention before, but re-reading it.. you did sound like you were pretty excited about her legs. lol. Anyway, when the song first started it sounded great when it was only the instruments, and then when it was time for Alison to sing.. you weren't able to hear her. At first, I thought she just messed up or something, but it was actually the mic. So, at the very start of when she sang, you couldn't hear her at all, and then the next few notes sounded like they were really off beat.. and after about 5 or 10 seconds it was normal. I felt really bad for her, but she acted perfectly natural. She such a great performer to be able to stay calm like that.. I would probably freak out a little, and then laugh. But that's one reason why she's a pro and I'm not. lol.

Haha! The band and her legs are awesome. lol. Anyways, i am totally there with you on the laughing thing akusgal. If i make one little mistake i start laughing. It's kind of reflex for me to laugh at myself if i do something like that. But it does show a lot about Alison after her keeping her cool like that. She's calm and collected and then theres me not being able to catch my breath from laughing so hard!

LOL I can usually keep my composure on stage, but once in church I jumped my cue and IN THE MIDDLE OF CHURCH said, "Oops, my bad!" What an idiot thing to say lol. Oh Lord. But when I'm with the band...maybe because my dad's in it and that calms me...I can stay pretty even keel with stuff. But I normally take most things in stride anyway lol. It's difficult to get me bent out of shape.

Alison's dress was designed by St. Pucci, it was an orignal for her. They are best known for wedding dresses. (According to their website, I had never heard of them)
