I have a casual football conversation with someone I hardly know and he mentions that he thought that Alison and the guys played the National Anthem at the Tennessee Titans game last Sunday. Thought for sure that he was playing a joke on me, knowing I'm a big fan. I told him they couldn't have as there would have been some press release out on it. He's no bluegrass fan, but thought that's who it was. So I so a little research and find out at www.tennessean.com/sports/titans/archives/04/09/59863513.shtml?Element_ID=59863513 that he's right. I don't know if many people would have gone to the game just to hear them sing, if tickets were available, but if I lived in Nashville, I think I would have tried. Anyway, this brings me to my point. The publicity telling us about what AKUS is doing and where they are playing is terrible other than the official tour. Did anyone else know about this performance? What sources does everyone use to keep up to date on AKUS?..I know its not the "Official" site or the Rounder site. Doug

That's true!!! And last season they sang in the NHL too!! I think twice... I'm Canadian and this I should know...however I'm not a great hockey fan. Eventhough I live in Calgary, who nearly took the cup this year!!!! It's cool though to think they are humble enough to just do anthems!! Marnie

You know what I found out? I have a link to some Bluegrass ListServe thing, and I check it like 6 times a year, lol, and apparently, Alison was on Jeopardy like last week maybe?! I was like, . I would have like to have known about that.

I admit I did get a press release about akus performing at the Titan Game but it was after the fact so I didn't post it (I didn't want anyone else to feel the frustration I was feeling). I heard the game was otherwise miserable if that consoles anyone. Now the Jeopardy appearance is news to me. It wasn't listed on any TV appearance list. Was it a new show or a rerun? If it was new, at least we can look forward to the rerun.

Her appearance on Jeopardy was a short, videotaped clip in the form of a question for the board. It went something like, "I'm Alison Krauss. In 1993 I was accepted into this organization, and was its youngest member at the time." That's it. There wasn't much to miss.

I also understand it was a new clip Kimberly, so we can catch it in reruns one day...

I agree Doug. What's up with not mentioning that Alison was going to be on the Opry last Saturday on their official website? Also, there are appearances that are scheduled on their tour, such as here in Knoxville on Jan. 20, and not even listed on their website as well as an appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It seems as if we have to dig to find out where we can see them! I think that whoever they are paying to update and run their website is overpaid! Jen PS Still love AKUS though!

Oh, well, I'm glad the Jeopardy thing was just a clip for the board! I mean, if Alison was a contestant, that would have been awesome to see and terrible to miss! Yeah, I wish the official site had all of her appearances on there.
