Amazing to watch the entire band, excellent musicians one and all. Seeing I like the violin/fiddle and play the instrument, I pay the most attention to it, and musicians who play the instrument.
I've seen some TV shows (Jay Leno-Tonight, and Letterman) that AKUS have been on. Not much attention to each musician playing close up as they play the instrument and/or vocalize. Alison sure can play!

Besides from the obvious sheer talent each performer grabs the viewer with, what I really love about that DVD is how well the group chemistry the band has really comes out on that format. Another great thing is AK's down home interaction with the audience and her anecdotes and jokes she has with her band mates. I am quite sure that was all unscripted, (although the material does tend to stay the same from show to show.) Her stage presence reminds me of Jimmy Buffett's style. (Whom I have seen at least 30 times in concert. BTW, any other fellow Parrot Heads here?) Jimmy is always talking between songs. Most of the time it has been done before. But when I walk out of a Jimmy Buffett concert, the feeling I have is about the same as walking out of an AKUS concert. It was money well spent, a great time was had by all and the performers on stage did the absolute best they could do to entertain their fans. What more could one ask for?
Kudos to the producers, directors and editors. It really is a well made, amazing concert video. One of the best ever in my opinion.
One other note. AK and Dan Tyminski were on Jay Leno to perform a song just prior to the Oscars. (‘Ain True Love’ I think.) At the end of the show, with time obviously running out, Jay Leno says, “Thanks to Alison Krauss and the rest.” I thought that was messed up. Mr. Oh Brother Where Art Though and three time male bluegrass singer of the year is considered “the rest”?!?!?! What was up with that? I just thought Dan deserved a little more respect than that. I understand time restraints and all, but at least mention the man’s name who went way out of his way to perform on your show and is an incredible talent in his own right.

(Tom is wondering why there is a empty line in the middle of that last paragraph? The Message Board Gods must be frowing upon me. I must have displeased them in some way.)

Yeah, I can't see Jay Leno doing that, it would not have used up that much time to state his name.
