Hey there, Miss Holly...I think I saw somewhere that Turbo posted that he had found the Polka album, by Jimmy Sturr on Itunes..Benny Martin and the Desert Rose may be harder to find....I have them..might have to haul out my collection, but maybe there's a way I can share them with you and not be considered a Pirate..haha...yea..that's me...Im a Pirate..but I do have both legs, for now...missing a tooth...but that just makes me look more like a Pirate......ha ha ha...where's my eyepatch...ha ha...oh..also that song Hopechest was on a Patti Page album..and Alison was singing harmony..it wasn't a duet..but anything she sings at all on..is sure worth having..

Both songs are avaialbel on iTunes:
Peter Rowan - The Desert Rose Band - "Undying Love" on two albums - "Traditional" and "True Love" - This is a wonderful duet - the song was written by Peter
Benny Martin - "Another World Ago" on the Album "The Big Tiger Roars Again, Pt 2" - one of those songs of Alisons that everyone forgets but is beautiful.
Both are worth the 99 cents on iTunes. The Polka song "Dream Lover" for me was not worth buying - not because of Alison, but I just don't like the polka arrangement. It's an old Ricky Nelson song and actually could have been a good recording had guitars replaced the accordians and trombones. Jimmy Sturr records for Rounder and I assume that some strings were pulled to get Alison on his album.

Nascarholly, Itunes has the songs with Benny Martin and Jimmy Sturr (watch that spelling!!) As for the Desert Rose Band, you have to pay for the whole album (not that great) just to get the one song. Email me.

I know this is an old post but I have a few songs that I didnt see listed. She also covered Robert Plant's "Big Log" on her brother Viktor Krauss' Far From Enough album back in 2005. "Blessed Be" is from the album Country goes Raffi from 2001. "Back in Love" Jerry Douglas' album Best Kept Secret from 2005 "Jubilee" from the movie Paper Clips, not sure of the year. "One Step ahead of the Blues" with Rhonda Vincent on her album One Step Ahead from 2003 "Lay my Burden Down" a live version from Jerry's Transatlantic Sessions from 2011 "Catfish John" with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band from Will the circle be unbroken from 2002 Live versions of "Restless", "Gravity" and "Rich Woman" can be found on Rounders 40th Anniversary album. All the songs but Jubilee can be found on iTunes. I cant find Jubilee, I don't know what happened to it. Hope this helps!
