Trying to get verification, but just found out that Alison performs "Rich Woman" in the movie "Mad Money", which is scheduled for release January 18th.  Does anyone know anything more about this? |

Judging by the premise of the movie, that sounds very possible. For anyone who doesn't know, it's the movie with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes (Kate Holmes??? whoever she calls herself) where they get a bunch of money, somehow. I don't think the previews tell how they're getting the money. So.......anyway, a lot of help I am other than to say, based on the plotline, I'd say there's a really good possibility of it. And come to think of it....the Raising Sand CD in general could provide many stellar soundtrack songs because of its unique sound. Perhaps we can expect to see more songs being used in the future  . |

Thank*you* for posting that site, Steph. I've seen that commercial a million times and had missed the song. It may have something to do with the fact that I have a son who NEVER quits talking......ever. He even talks in his sleep.

Thanks for letting us know about the trailers Steph. I had checked IMDB before I originally posted but they didn't have the trailers there yet. As for the storyline, the movie is about 3 women who work at the Treasury Department. One of their tasks is to burn 'old' money which will be replaced with new bills. They decide to steal the cash instead of burning it.  I guess that's where the song tie-in comes in, as they become instantly rich women... |

No problem folks the film looks as if it will be fun and the song is certainly aptly titled for the subject matter.

Is it the same version of "Rich Woman" as on the CD Raising Sand? Or is it a different version with only Alison singing?

From what I can tell, it's the original version.
