The name is Rufus. Have been waiting a long time to become a new member-- in fact I can be considered an "old" new member, its been so long! Anyway---here I am, an obsessed Alison Krauss fan, hoping there are others out there "AS CRAZY AS ME" . Looking forward to belonging to the board. Rufus

Albert--- Thanks for the welcome. I feel like I'm talking to a kinsman. My relatives were married at Kings Chapel, Bath England. Who knew that these many years later, with our technology, two people seperated by an ocean could be talking! AIN'T LIFE GRAND!!! Rufus

Hi rufus,
it sure is amazing. I have friends in Alabama. It normally takes about 11 hours to fly from here to Birmingham AL.
When my dad met my mum ( in the 60s) , who is dutch it used to take him 13 hours to travel to see her at 12% of the distance from the Uk to alabama!
The world sure has shrunk! Talking across oceans was science fiction then.

Well now Leah, it just so happens that my maternal grandfather came over from N. Ireland. Maybe that is why Alisons' and other bluegrass music has smacked me in the heart so strong-- the celtic influence--that darn fiddle - when Alison plays certain things I could just weep. Nice talking to you and thanks for the welcome. Rufus
