I know this is not Alison Krauss related strictly, but seeing Alison produced one or two of the Nickel Creek albums/CDs, Nickel Creek will be in concert (at least according to their current schedule (http://www.nickelcreek.com/ ) at the Ryman Auditorium October 30, 2004. FYI.
I noticed earlier some expressed comments about the group/band. I have seen them in concert.
If you can make it, GO!
Update-modify: I just looked at the Ryman web site, you can follow this home page link, (http://www.ryman.com/) and then on the main page of the Ryamn web site - click on Event near teh top - and scroll thru the list of events until you reach the Nickel Creek date of 10/30/2004, tickets prices are listed, etc. . .

Nickel Creek is my other favorite group (other than AKUS of course). I really wish I could go, but i'm in Wyoming, so the places that the concerts are at... well they're a bit of a ways over there lol. Anyway, if ya can go, GO like fiddler494 said. ;D

I'd like to go since the Ryman is like 10 minutes from my house, unfortunately I probably can't AFFORD to go. I'll definitely keep it in mind, I'd like to see them perform. ;D

I don't know what you consider not being able to afford tickets, so i went ahead and looked them up for anyone who wants to know the prices:
Nickel Creek Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN Sat, Oct 30, 2004 08:00 PM
FLOOR-FIRST LEVEL ROWS AA-BB THEN A-Z US $25.50 - US $32.50
BALCONY-SECOND LEVEL ROWS A-P US $25.50 - US $32.50

Those ticket prices are more than I paid to see them at "The Rave" in Milwaukee WI on Nov 1, 2003. I believe the ticket price then was $15.00. But that was for anywhere in the building, and the only seating was in a balcony quite a distance from stage.
I stood right up by the stage as I was there early enough. If I can gather the $32.50 I'll go, if not maybe next time. I would imagine the Ryman costs a bit more for the band, insurance, booking, etc.

And of course, I forgot to mention that Nickel Creek will be on tour at other venues, not only the Ryman in Nashville.

I've seen them the most of every band, 5x. Bluegrass or country purists may not enjoy it as much as other listeners, but I've yet to find another group that has more energy than them onstage!!! Your jaw will be hanging down to the floor the entire night. Sorry to Rave, but they are my favorite group. They even do play for a small crowd ouside by their tour bus after most of their shows.

I know what you mean! Wht energy! I have a ticket and hope to be there although I am in the balcony.
At "The Rave" they got 4 ovations and came back (except for the bass player) and played totally accoustic wihtout the micophones! The band plays all kinds of music ecellently, I just wish they would play a bit more of what got them their start, but no matter what they play tonight, it will be with enthusiasm and excellence!

The show/concert last night was magnificent! Excellent! The $32.50 ticket was well worth it, you won't believe the positive energy at a Nickel Creek concert/show!
And . . . Sara, and Chris were kind enough to sign autographs after the show! Thanks Sara and Chris for taking the time to talk to those who attended the show!

My good friend saw them last night, and text-messaged me on my phone saying that she got a hug from Chris! She has met him before too, and she just loves Nickel Creek!
