Very true. It seems you have wrapped up the entire discussion with that one, eyesoflove!
My pairing would have to actually be Gene and the Stones. haha! I have danced ballet half of my life, so I enjoy and admire his gracefulness!

Kind everybody
I begin feeling sad. I do not like remaining alone with that opinion in the folk dances may be a popular activity in the world, not only in few countries. Our low physical activity life may move the dance. I understand the folk music revival in the USA can reach audiance only.
for Eyeflove: BTW an near relative was coal miner, but he got suicide almost 25 years ago.

Avenaoat. Don't be sad! Maybe there are many people who agree with you but you are just looking in the wrong places for them? This is a fan site for one particular band that does not really do dance music so obviously the fans are more likely to be focused on music than dance! Probably if you go to a fan site of one of the American folk dance groups you found on Youtube, you will find much more support for your ideas! And I don't mean by this that you shouldn't be here. Just that your dance idea will get a better response somewhere else maybe?

Kind Tal
Before discovering Akus on You Tube I found old style American folk music on you tube. I was curious, why do not I find many dancer videos for this type music? Oké I stop talking about it here.

Hey everybody
I found something in a Hungarian homepages and the Hungarian Wiki. I do not know is it good or not good. Hungarian rezonátoros gitár= resonator guitar. I found akusztikus dobro=rezonátoros gitár in another homepage. I do not know, because I am not musician.

Avenaoat,
Dobro is actually a brand, but the common way to refer to the type of resonator guitar that Jerry plays (kind of like how Kleenex is a common way to refer to a tissue, when Kleenex is really just a brand of tissue).
