Okay, let me list the instruments I play, in order of competence, first being best, last being a joke - 6-string classical acoustic guitar, fiddle, electric bass guitar, mandolin, 12-string acoustic guitar, electric lead guitar, dobro, keyboard, banjo, autoharp, bongo drums, harmonica, kazoo, and recorder. My bedroom closet is so full of instruments that there is no room for clothes in it. But anytime you see me out playing somewhere I am playing either my Martin classic or my new Fender cutout classic w/ pickup. I rarely feel comfortable performing with any other instrument.

I've posted in here, and I'll post again. This time I'll say the names of the instruments that I actually own.
Violin = Musashi (Japanese for "brave warrior") Keyboard = David (my favorite person in the Bible, after Jesus of course!) Guitar = Justin (the first name that came to mind, lol) Another Guitar = Schoner Klang (German for "beautiful sound")
oh yeah, and i can now play a few chords on mandolin. and i'm thinking of buying one, but i haven't thought of a name since i don't actually HAVE it yet.

I have a 1973 Martin D-28 guitar, (named "Jo" after my first ....and unrequited love), a Gibson "A-Style" mandolin of age unknown and a sexy but cheapo Ozark resophonic guitar. I'd really like a Scheerhorn and have a kidney for sale.....:-) Any offers?

Christmas of '08 I went to a jam session and a gal there had an old beat-up standup bass fiddle and she let me play it, and I FELL IN LOVE with the bass fiddle, loved the vibrations from its body running through mine, so I saved up and bought one. It's got a reddish finish, it's big and fat and has a deep voice, kinda fun to dance with. So I named it Wynonna.
It is far and away my favorite instrument, although I was forced to fix the transmission in my van so I would have a running vehicle big enough to drive Wy around. Since then my electric bass guitar has lain forgotten in its case for almost 4 years now, although I still use it on recordings since it has a pickup, and Wynonna doesn't.

I play the guitar for like half a year now. AKUS and Shania Twain are the main reasons why I decided to try and learn to play the guitar. Actually I wanted to learn to play the fiddle, but I couldn't find an intructor and I have no experience in music whatsoever, so I figured the guitar would be a better option. The playing is going pretty well, I am just still struggling with the bar-chords, but I am finally getting the hang of it. In November I will be doing a (very)small performance of "If I Didn't Know Any Better" with my sister. I'll play the guitar and she'll sing. We will change the lyrics I guess since the original plan was to write a song about the person we'll be singing to. But I am not sure yet. I am just having some troubles with the strumming. Is there a good website where I can find teh strumming patterns or something? Or just cover video's on guitar? so I can look how they play the song?
I have figured out most of the strumming, but my chorus sounds very boring and I haven't really had the time to figure the bridge out yet. I was thinking of palm muting the chords in the bridge?
