Hi, everybody! My name is Billie and I live in Garland, Texas, and I love it here!! I'm 43 years old and I'm a HUGE Alison Krauss fan. Some of my other favorite singers are Shelby Lynne, Allison Moorer, k.d. lang and Bonnie Raitt. I don't sing and I don't play any instruments, but I LOVE listening to music. I met Alison through a mutual friend and I've been lucky enough to hang out with Alison and get to know her better. She's one of my favorite people and she's the funniest person on earth! If you ever get the chance to meet her it will be one of your fondest memories. I'm anxious to hear from Alison's fans!!

That's neat that you're from Garland, I'm originally from Austin Texas, my roomate [Emily, from these boards] is from Mesquite, TX. We both moved to Nashville last September.

Very cool you've been able to hang out with Alison. We hung out with her for a short time after the Lexington show and she was such an awesome [funny!] person to chat with! I'm looking forward to talking with her again after the show tomorrow [in Alabama]!

Hi! I'm Kimberly and I'm from Missouri, and I'm 20 years old. AKUS are my favorite musicians ever! I love Alison and her music sooo much it is not even funny! ;D I've been a fan of AKUS since I met Alison on August 14th, 2001!

I am also a HUGE fan of the Dixie Chicks, and have been part of Dixie Chick Bulletin Boards since 2001.
AKUS and the Dixie Chicks are my top 2 favorites, but I also like Rhonda Vincent, Sierra Hull, and Nickel Creek. I've met Rhonda twice and she is really nice.

As you can tell from my signature, I play a lot of bluegrass instruments, and love them all. I would love to be a bluegrass musician, but since I've only been playing for a few years, I just play for fun.

I'm currently a junior in college and majoring in psychology, to hopefully become an Industrial Organizational Psychologist.

Hi, I'm Gerry and am 52. I've played in bands and jam sessions primarily fiddle/violin. I've attended Metropolitan Community College - Omaha NE, Doane College - Lincoln NE Campus, Marquette University - Milwaukee WI (where I presently reside) and the University of Phoenix On-Line. I'm presently seeking another college and am researching. Vanderbilt may be an option, but I am thinking of a college that works closely with IBM, as my background is with IBM mainframes, IBM iSeries and also computers. I also presently do computer consulting.

And of course, more importantly here -- I like AKUS!

I'm AJ (Amy Jane) known to some as morpork13 on livejournal. I live in England, UK & am one of the only country fans around here! It's a total disgrace!
One day I will get myself to the great US of A solely to spend a fortune seeing every artist I love play.
If anyone has any reccommendations of more music to listen to please do not hesitate - let me know! My collection is lacking because MVC doesn't believe that 'country' includes anyone other that Lonestar, Cash & AKUS (which isn't necessarily a bad thing but means music has to be imported *sob*)

Hey everyone! Name's Mal and I live in North Carolina, and I was motivated to go hunting for some online Alison Krauss communities after seeing her perform in the Great High Mountain Tour. I've loved her music for a while now, but until then I'd never been motivated enough to seek out other fans. I'm 17 and sometimes feel like I'm one of the only people my age who likes her music, much less knows who she is. -sigh- Anyways, I play fiddle, banjo, and guitar, and I'm hoping to take mandolin lessons soon.

I hope to get to know you all better. It's great to be here! =)

Hello everyone! My name is Katie, I'm 16, and I live in Indiana. AKUS is my favorite band EVER! I've seen Alison 3 times in concert and met her once. I also play the fiddle, mandolin, and guitar.
