Hello everyone! I'm new to the boards, and new to AKUS. I know it seems hard to believe but I just became a fan with this new album! I picked it up on a whim, and I love it!! Alison's voice is like an angel, and the music is great!! I hope to chat with you guys real soon....

Hey, I finally made it here. Some of you may know me from other message boards, don't know. I go by "CF" online, I'm a huge fan of George Strait, Shania Twain, Brooks & Dunn, and alot of other people. Over the past year, I've gotten more interested in AKUS, and it was made even more when they performed with Shania on her their special Up! Close & Personal. Jerry Douglas did incredible on that dobro (that's where my name comes from   ) Alison is awesome, her voice is beautiful like an angel's. I can't believe I've been missin out on her all this time. I got the new cd by them and I'll admit is the best album of the year and probably one of my favs ever. Love it! ;D . My fav song of their's is "When You Say Nothing At All", I joined here b/c I wanna be around other AKUS fans and talk about them. I hope to post here alot and get to know you guys. O yeah, I joined here earlier under some other name some months aso but I never got a confirmation message under my aol address and left it alone but today remember this place and decided to use my hotmail address . |

Chello everyone-Newcomers and the like!!) OMC!! I HATE finals!! All week, I've been dealing w/ them and I'm REALLY ready 4 this two week break we have in Ga counties! Sorry I haven't been around..Did I miss anything?? Oh!! 'I sort-of' looked at one of the presents I'm getting that my Mum already wrapped and if it isn't the new AK and the US cd-I gonna cry-Literally! Hi, I've just recently come across the fine talents of Alison & the band since the UK really doesn't seem to go in for bluegrass/country all that much  I'm from Northern Ireland & am hoping to move back to Scotland for a while where I studied languages. I really hope to see AKUS in concert someday if they come back here Just bought their new CD & I'm astounded by 'A Living Prayer' - it's definitely the most moving song I've ever heard Between Ron's amazing writing talent & Alison's perfect voice - whao!!
